Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of illushray.com and any purchase of a Founder ("Gubbian Gold") or Patron ("C.O.R.E. Gubbian") pass. By using the site or buying a pass, you agree to these Terms.

Who these terms are with

The site and passes are provided by [Legal Entity Name], LLC, a Texas limited liability company. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as our Merchant of Record — it is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment and sales tax, while we remain responsible for delivering what your pass includes. The comic is free

Reading Godform, in full, is free. There is no requirement to pay to access any chapter currently published. We may add new chapters at our discretion.

Mature content

Godform is intended for readers 17 and older. It contains graphic violence, blood, and mature themes. By reading, you confirm you meet this advisory. The comic is a work of fiction; any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental.

Eligibility to purchase

To buy a pass you must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) and able to form a binding contract. You agree the information you provide at checkout is accurate.

Founder and Patron passes

A pass is a one-time purchase that bundles a pre-ordered physical printed book with digital perks. What each tier includes is described on the /support page at the time of your purchase.

• No subscription. Passes are one-time; we do not bill you again.
• The printed book is a pre-order. Book 1 prints when the story reaches that point; we do not commit to a delivery date. Because of that, you may cancel the book portion for a refund any time before it ships (see Refunds).
• Founder slot policy. Your Founder number is permanently assigned to you at purchase. If a pass is refunded or voided, the number is permanently retired — it is not reissued to anyone else.
• Discord access (Founder and above) is provided subject to the Discord platform remaining available. If it becomes unavailable, we will provide an equivalent community channel.

Canonical inclusion (Patron)

A Patron ("C.O.R.E. Gubbian") pass includes naming an element of the Godform world — a place, character, item, or idea. The specific element, its final name, design, and how it is integrated into the story are determined by Illushray as sole author, agreed with the purchaser in good faith on the creator call. A Patron pass does not transfer authorship, copyright, or creative control, and does not guarantee a lead or recurring character. If no mutually acceptable form is reached, Illushray may offer an alternative element of equal standing.

By submitting a name, idea, or other material for canonical inclusion, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, adapt, and incorporate it into Godform and related works, and you waive any moral rights in that material to the extent permitted by law. We may decline any submission that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.

Refunds

How a refund works depends on whether you mean the digital perks or the pre-ordered printed book, and on where you live.

• Printed book (pre-order). Because we don't promise a print date, you may cancel the book portion of your pass for a refund at any time before it ships. After it ships, normal returns law applies.
• Digital perks (Discord access, digital art files, name in the credits, canonical naming, the creator call) are made available shortly after purchase. By buying, you ask us to make them available immediately and acknowledge that, once you've accessed them, they are non-refundable.

EU / UK / other statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms removes any non-waivable consumer rights under your local law, including any statutory cooling-off / right-of-withdrawal period for distance purchases. Where the law gives you a refund right, we honor it.

Always-available exceptions:

• Duplicate or accidental purchase. Email us within 7 days and we'll refund the duplicate.
• Goods we cannot deliver. If we stop production of the printed book or discontinue the series before Book 1 prints, you'll be offered a refund or an equivalent digital deliverable.

Chargebacks and disputes. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. File chargeback claims through Lemon Squeezy support; we cooperate with any legitimate inquiry. We reserve the right to retire a Founder slot if a chargeback is filed after the digital perks have been fulfilled.

How to request a refund. Email hello@illushray.com with your order ID and the reason. We respond within 7 days.

Intellectual property

Godform and all artwork on this site are © Illushray. Purchasing a pass does not transfer copyright. You may not redistribute or commercially exploit the artwork. You may share links freely.

Your account

An account is optional — it only syncs your reading progress and holds any pass you buy. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time by emailing us; we may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Community conduct

In our Discord or other community channels, be civil: no harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, or illegal content. We may remove content or remove you from the community for breaking these rules; that alone does not entitle you to a refund of a pass.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape the site, abuse APIs, or attempt to bypass payment for paid deliverables. We may suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and comic are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a pass is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your non-waivable consumer rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in [county], Texas — except where your local consumer-protection law lets you bring a claim where you live.

General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between us about the site and passes. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor (for example, if the business is reorganized).

Changes

We may revise these Terms. Material changes affecting paid pass holders will be emailed to you. Continued use of the site after notice constitutes acceptance.
